✧ Frequently Asked Questions

What is The Aethyrguard about?

The Aethyrguard is an epic fantasy saga centered on Korvan, a soulmarked warrior bound to magical beasts called Veyrkin. It explores the cost of power, the burden of legacy, and the rare magic of true connection—through battle, betrayal, and bonds that defy tradition.

❓ How many books will there be in the series?

The series follows Korvan’s rise through the ranks of the Aethyrguard—Initiate, Knight, Champion, and beyond. Each book explores a new stage of growth and conflict. While the final number may evolve, the arc is longform, with at least seven core books planned.

❓ Do I need to understand the Codex before reading the book?

Not at all. The story stands on its own. The Codex is there to enrich the experience—not replace it. If you love deep lore, magical systems, or understanding how the Mortal Lands breathe, it’s here for you.

❓ Are the Veyrkin based on real animals?

Some share qualities with earthly beasts—foxes, dragons, bears—but each is unique to this world, shaped by emotion and the magic of the Beyond. They are companions, yes—but also symbols, trials, and mirrors.

❓ Will there be artwork or a physical edition?

Yes! Concept art, Codex illustrations, and world maps are being developed. A physical edition is planned post-launch of the first book. Join the Reader List to get updates and early access.

❓ What age group is this series intended for?

The Aethyrguard is written for adult and mature young adult readers. While there is no gratuitous content, it explores trauma, sacrifice, and the consequences of power. Think: emotionally rich like The Name of the Wind, but with a steadily advancing plot.
